‘Untitled’ by Claudia Cirillo

He said: ‘Kathie, you’ve got to listen, you’ve got to understand,
God didn’t take Todd from you, He only took his hand.

When he called out in pain that day,
the instant that he died,
God reached out and took his hand
and pulled him to his side.

He pulled him up and saved him
from the misery and pain.
His search is really over now;
he’s found happiness within from you,
all the answers to empty dreams
he found by loving you.

He loves you all and misses you so,
and he’ll always be nearby.
His body’s gone forever,
but his spirit will never die.

And when it’s time to meet again,
he will wait for you,
because you’re his true soulmate
and he will never leave you.

And so you must all go on now,
live one day at a time.
Just understand God did not take him from you,
he only took his hand.’
